The gears and straps in clicking jerks roll on

Inside the mammoth Rube Goldberg Machine.

Its groaning weight with buttress metal talons

Squats on the sheep pens filthy as latrines

With squirming herds of bleating, frightened sheep

Left blind by flashing colors from large tubes

To hide from them mechanical hands that sweep

The sheep up into rusting, bloody cubes.

Large plastic flashing heads on trains roll up

The outside spewing oil on the contraption

From inside where the crushing and the sharp

Dark tools grind flesh like in a witch’s cauldron.

The fleeces burn and rise as smoke and gas

Into a pig-shaped blimp, unfilled and limpid,

Bound to a tall bright funnel made of brass.

Upon the pig one single phrase is printed:

BIG PHARMA BAILOUT OR BUST!
